Mia Hjelte

Mia Hjelte is a Swedish actress and dancer and she was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. From the age of 10 Mia attended the Royal Swedish Ballet School. After graduating and a spending a season as an apprentice with the Vienna State Ballet, Mia ed the Royal Swedish Ballet, where she was appointed soloist. Mia started acting when she got cast as Penny Jonson in the musical theatre production of Dirty Dancing at the China Theatre in Stockholm. She received her primary acting education at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts and Stella Adler Acting Studio in New York. Just after graduating SADA Mia got her first film role, the lead role Wilma in the Norwegian feature film For Evig and Aldri, directed by Gunnbjörg Gunnarsdottir.
